“I have always had an instinct for doing new things. Call it good or bad, I love to experiment.” ~ Ravi Shankar
I love to experiment with my photography. I am not sure it is ever possible to feel like to have taken enough pictures and with the invention of digital editing the experimentation can go on well after the initial image has been taken. Not that you could not also do that in the dark room days but accessibility to that kind of thing for most people was just a dream.
This image is in fact two images. One of them taken in a local shopping mall and the other taken whilst driving along of the evening sun setting in the horizon ahead of me. I invert that image and laid it over the shopping mall one to create this final version. I rather like the result. It is subtle but also intriguing, I think it makes you take a second look to try and work out exactly what it is you are seeing. Why does there appear to be car tail lights in the ceiling and why is the horizon on the floor. Not all pictures show the truth of the moment but sometimes that is what makes them interesting.
