I took this shot at my Mother’s house. She had this lovely display of these bright orange Lily’s sitting on the side in the dinning room. The light is provided by the winter sunshine streaming in through the windows and behind the Lilly you can see the rest of the bunch of flowers reflected in the mirror that hangs on the wall.
I love how the light has created shadows of the other flowers in the this one and silhouetted the pollen buds. The depth of field and the mirror reflection has created a soft blurred background with pretty bokeh spots in it. It was tough light to work in actually as the risk of burning out the highlights was high but I am really pleased with how this came out.
