Sadly this image was not taken in Japan but right outside my house. Every year it is covered in these beautiful soft white blooms for about a week or so before it all falls to the ground, littering the pavement like wedding confetti. It is fleeting in its beauty but relentless in its annual cycle.

I don’t think it’s anything to be sad about, to have these flowers right outside your house!!! Cherry blossoms are fantastic, some of the most beautiful things in spring. I have a couple of trees outside the hospital where I work.
Cherry Blossoms are so well loved by all! They are such a sign of hope.
Love the quote you featured with the photo, it’s important to remember how fragile life is. I also admire the purple shade you have throughout the photo, it has a wonderful mystical feel to it.
