Or in this case a zoo. A very good zoo mind you; Whipsnade, where the animals have lots of space. What you can’t tell from this picture is that this is actually a young elephant and compared to his parents who are just out of shot is a about half their size. He was enjoying rolling that barrel around. They drill holes in them and put food in it so the elephants have to work at getting their dinner.
I don’t want them in circuses but a good zoo does preserve the species. I’d really like us humans to leave a space for them to roam in their families. Of course, protect them from poachers too!
