Quince blossom

“They dined on mince, and slices of quince, Which they ate with a runcible spoon; And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand, They danced by the light of the moon.” ~ Edward Lear

Yes these pretty little flowers are Quince blossom and my tree in the garden is absolutely covered with it. It flowers fairly late in the Spring and as a result it’s fruits are one of the last to be ready. Traditionally I tend to pick them in the middle to the end of October. Every year my Mum takes them away and turns them into beautiful bight red Quince jelly.
