You normally have to be bashed about a bit by life to see the point of daffodils, sunsets and uneventful nice days.” ~ Alain de Botton
This poor Daffy had certainly been bashed about a bit when I came across it in the woods the other day. Sadly it was not the only one as a few of the clumps of daffodils that ran along the side of the path look like they had been beaten about a bit. I don’t know if they were trampled by dogs running through them or youth being, well, horrible youth. Luckily the ones set back off the path were mainly untouched and making up for their broken and bashed friends.
Aww, poor little daffy! At least the plant will survive without the flowers. I believe their bulbs will reproduce so they don’t need to sow their seeds.
