
Yes I am standing on the track to take this picture. It is actually a little footpath that crosses the line. There are big signs telling you to check for trains before crossing but apart from that it is completely open. As you can see the line is dead straight and you can see for a long way. The same if you turn and look the other way. It is also a little branch line so there are only 2 or 3 trains per hour. I love the way the late afternoon Autumn sun was illuminating the trees, bring to the fore their gorgeous Autumn colours. The whole thing was just a photo waiting to happen
