Day 261 – Petals

Black and white of daisy petals in sunlight

“By plucking her petals, you do not gather the beauty of the flower.” ~ Rabindranath Tagore

I spent a lovely hour or so the other morning in my garden shooting different flower pictures. The sun was fairly low in the sky and by crawling around in the grass getting wet knees and bum I caught the light through the petals. Autumn is starting to shows its golden face but my garden is not yet giving up all its flowering beauty.

Remember when we were taught to not shoot toward the sun? Not a great rule.
