They are often called the golden hours with regards to photography and they take place around sunrise and sunset. The light is softer, with gentle gold or pink tones in it and of course everywhere there are shadows being thrown around. This is sunset, well not quite, but nearly, people are heading home, their shadow hurrying along behind them oblivious to the lady with the camera for whom the time of day is a gift.
