Day 219 – Out of the familiar

London Alley Covent garden out of the familiar

“Cities have the capability to at any moment shift out of the familiar, even if you’ve lived in one all your life.” ~ Kate Milford

This is definitely true of London. I have lived in and around this great city all  my life. I know much of it incredibly well, particularly central and north London but even now I still find interesting little bit of this majestic city that are new to me. This quiet little alleyway is nestled between Covent Garden and Leicester Square. I must have walked past it hundreds of times but I only discovered it for the first time a week or so ago.

    Brilliant shot Molly
London amazes me every time I explore on foot. I’ve taken to walking instead of tube and there are lots of these alleys that I hadn’t discovered either.

I see this got picked this week – I’m not surprised, it was one of my favourites. Well done 🙂

That alley is a treasure – and beautifully photographed. I love the touch of light at the end.
