Day 30 – Penitentiary

If you are curious this is part of the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. I took this image a couple of years ago but had never posted it here. This is one of the corridors in one of the newer wings that was built in 1911 and so does not have the beautiful large arched ceilings. If you have never been to this place and get the chance to go I highly recommend it. It is a beautiful, if disturbing building with a fascinating history.
