This pond is in a very small woodland near my home and in the middle, as you can see, is a tiny island. It is I believe naturally occurring, there is absolutely no evidence that it was man made in any way. I have often thought about trying to get across to the little island as I think it would be a great location for self portraits but there is no way across unless you just wade out there and as the water is covered with weed I am not prepared to risk it. It is a lovely spot though to come and have a few moments peace and quite.
