Obviously this quote is about Corfu but in my experience this is something that can happen to you pretty much anywhere in Greece, particularly on the Greek islands and for me it is definitely true of Kefalonia which of course sits just south of Corfu. There is something about the light and colours and plants and people that make me feel at home.
