This futuristic looking building is Southampton Solent University. I went there last weekend for an open day for my son. I had never been to Southampton before and was pleasantly surprised by both the town and the university which has had a huge amount of investment including this amazing new building, renovated halls of residence and currently under-construction a 30 million pound new sports facility. My son loved it too which means that maybe we might end up visiting it more often in the future.
