One upon a time this was my local hospital. After lots of fighting the battle to save it was lost and a near by town was rewarded with becoming the central hub of hospital services in our area. It is a long sad story of government under funding and local politics but the result is that what was once a busy hospital as been replaced with a small clinic style building and the rest of the sight is being cleared to make way for new housing from which some developer is going to make a lot of money
