Day 353 – Chocolates

Quality Street chocolates in a bowl with Christmas tree bokeh lights

“Why can no one here think of anything but chocolates?” ~ Joanne Harris, Chocolat

In America you would call these Candy but here in the UK they would be called chocolates. In fact the word candy is not used that often. We do have Candy canes but the word candy would only be used to describe boiled or hard sweets and even then they would, by most people be referred to as sweeties.

Yum! Lovely photo, very Christmassy 🙂 I’ve had to get used to calling sweets, candy! No one knows what I mean when I say sweets!

Haha, my husband is American and he still struggles with the whole sweets/candy/chocolate thing
