“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter… to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring — these are some of the rewards of the simple life.” ~ John Burroughs
A summers evening is definitely one of the best rewards of the simple life. Those days that end in beautiful colours, the heat of the day still crackles in the air but the promise of the cool of the night can just be felt. I love evenings like that so very much, not just because they lend themselves to photography but because they are simple things that nourish the soul.
