“What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have never been discovered.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Dandelion remains a weed and yet are we really oblivious to this plants beauty. It has bright yellow flowers with an abundance of tiny petals that fan out making it look like a golden star growing on the earth and then that flower turns into a seed head that has delighted each and everyone of us as children and a fair few of us as adults. Can you really resist the temptation to blow its seeds and watch them scatter. Maybe the dandelion is a weed but I think it is the most delightful uninvited guest there is.
Love this! We are so good at growing dandelions so I leave them for a bit of colour!!
Amazing shot (as are all of your photos). I love the way you look at seemingly ordinary things but make them intriguing/beautiful/special by altering the view. Not that dandelions aren’t beautiful or special in their own right but I think we are so used to them we don’t take as much notice now. #MySundayPhoto
