Snowdrop in sunshine sparkling with joy

Day 60 – Sparkle with joy

"If you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm." ~ Frank Lane And nothing weather the storm or should that be the last of the winter cold quite like Snowdrops and when they do get to the see the sunshine they seem to almost sparkle with joy. I love that I managed to capture a brave little bee in this shot too. I only hope he has not braved it too soon and a late spring frost does not catch him out.

Day 264 – Spider Rainbows

"Poetry is a fresh morning spider-web telling a story of moonlit hours of weaving and waiting during a night." ~ Carl Sandburg This was taken in the later afternoon as the sun was dipping low in the sky. I love how the web seems to be glistening with rainbow colours where the light is catching it. I took it with my macro lens hence the shallow depth of field and only a slim portion of the web being in focus. Again I like the result though because it has created very subtle little bokeh effect. Day 182 – Little Creatures

"When the flower blossoms, the bee will come." ~ Srikumar Rao However this will only continue to be the case if we protect these little creatures. Day 131 – Trapped

The Spider And The Fly "Will you walk into my parlor?" said the spider to the fly; "'Tis the prettiest little parlor that ever you may spy. The way into my parlor is up a winding stair, And I have many curious things to show when you are there." "Oh no, no," said the little fly; "to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair can ne'er come down again." "I'm sure you must be weary, dear, with soaring up so high. Well you rest upon my little bed?" said the spider to the fly.…
