Day 65 – Thinking

I wonder what he is thinking about…

Day 56 – In The Moo’d

Whilst waiting for our friends in Southport last weekend we stumbled across this little farm and of course I couldn’t resist getting my camera out. All the cows in this shed were either completely disinterested in me or else gave me a very wide berth apart from this one. She seemed to be fascinated by me and the more pictures I took the further she pushed his head between the bars to investigate what I was up too. Unlike her companions she didn’t have a shy bone in her body, in fact she seemed to be quite the attention seeker.

I love with all my heart:
She gives me cream with all her might,

Day 54 – Lady Chatterley

I took this picture in the UK Border Agency National Museum in Liverpool. It is one of the many copies that was confiscated by the UK border police prior to 1960. Apparently it was quite a common thing for ladies of ‘class and distinction’ to travel to Europe for their summer holidays and return with this amongst their belongs. I wonder if they did anything else whilst on holiday apart from reading…

Day 52 – The Other Side

Liverpool city centre is lovely, busy, full of vibrant life and wealth but travel just a mile or so into the outskirts of the city and things are very different. These houses line the streets around Liverpool Football Club. The club bought them up with the view to building a new, bigger stadium. For now the money for this project has dried up and so row upon row of these houses sit there, rotting, boarded up, empty, scaring a local community that is clearly suffering terribly in the current economic climate. To me there is something truly wrong about all this….

Day 49 – Wheel In The Sky

We are spending the weekend in Southport. Yesterday our friends took us into Liverpool and we went on the Liverpool eye. It was a truly beautiful crisp winters day, with bright clear sunshine. However it was blowing a pretty fearsome wind that not only was damn cold but rocked the little pods on the eye in a rather alarming manner. The views were amazing though but I am afraid I didn’t get any pictures of them as I was far to busy being scared out of my wits. We are spending the weekend in Southport, which is just outside Liverpool. Today we have spent a fabulous day in Liverpool with our friends. I have taken tons and tons of photographs and we have laughed and talked and walked and frozen our sorry little behinds off and it has been utterly fabulous.

Day 46 – Sparkles In The Snow

Today there is clear blue skies and the sun is shining, looking out of the window it appears to be a lovely day and most of the snow has melted away. In fact looking out the window today it is hard to believe that just a few days ago I took this image but then you step outside and the cold wind that is snaking it’s way around the land reminds you that this is still February and not March or April and that just because the sun is shining does not mean that winter is over…. yet!

Day 37 – Wine and Wonders

I wonder how best to proceed

I wonder what really stopped him telling her that he loved her

I wonder why she cried

and on a unrelated matter….

I wonder if he knows what a wonderful weekend I had

I wonder if he knows just how happy I am at his side

I wonder if he knows why I love this picture so much

I wonder if I have a fetish for his hands
