I am always telling my children that money doesn’t grow on trees but during our recent trip to Bristol I found that if you look hard enough you will find that shoes do…

Amazing photo! What are those shoes doing up there? I find it so very charming!
I really don’t know to be honest. I tired doing some research about it but came up with nothing. Just one of the weird things humans do I suppose.

It’s called ‘shoe tossing’ – google and you find info and lots of pictures.
Happy Sunday!
But why… and why in the centre of Bristol and even more importantly why do many of the shoes look fairly new!

That is so funny! I’d love to hear the backstory on the tree. Where I live, it’s not uncommon to see shoes like that tangled in powerlines running across the roads.
I’ve seen tossed shoes before… but never this many in one place… definitely a unique opportunity!
The shoes are fun…kind of reminds me of that movie Wag the Dog though.
Hmm… I wonder how that happened!
Thanks for the visit Molly, you have beautiful photos around here. I am going back this week for more eggs armed with maps. Have a good week.
It is very tempting to join you but I fear lack of child free time will be my downfall although the last weekend in March might just be possible.

That is a great image, I would love to know the backstory behind those shoes. Romantic gesture? School kid’s prank? A dare? Neighborhood tradition?
Funny, they all seem to be a similar type of shoe.
