“On a bus, your eyes, ears, and pores are open absorbing in the variety, the wonder, and the magic of the city. It’s a wonderful way to get to know the city.” ~ George Takei
I took this shot by standing at a very strategic spot on the side of the road near Kings Cross where the buses come round a sharp corner. Because of the way they turn and the width of the road there there are a few moments when the bus is literally facing the pavement right up until the very last second. It is an odd experience standing right on the edge of the pavement waiting for the exact right moment to get this shot. All your instinct is to step back as the bus looms towards you but I held my nerve got the shot and at the last moment the it turns and lurches away.
